From the Pastor's Desk

Fear not, for I am with you.  Be not dismay, I am your God.  I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous  right hand.

It is so comforting to know that as we enter the new year 2010 we have many promises from our heavenly father.  In Isaiah 41:10 we see a word of comfort "don't be afraid".  There are many uncertainties but we should put our trust in God.  "I am with you" - God is showing His devine presence.  He is Immanuel - Isaiah 7:14 (God with us).

Dear friends, I want to assure you that where you are He is present with you in your situations and He is there to help you through - Ezekiel also affirms this in chapter 48:35.  Therefore, in our times of sickness, bereavement, financial straint or whatever be our present situation, we can shout with confidence:

Jehovah Shammah  - The Lord is Present

Jehovah Rapha - The Lord that healeth thee

Jehovah Nissi - The Lord our Banner

Jehovah Shalom - The Lord our Peace

Jehovah Raah - The Lord is my shephard

Jehovah Tsidkenu - The Lord is our righteousness

Jehovah Jireh  - The Lord will provide

These are words we can use to enhance our times of worship (private or corporate).  In the pilgrimage of life, do not forget that He uttered these words from His own lips to us - "Behold I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places wether thou goest, and will bring again unto this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of."

May God bless and keep you as you face the future with confidence in Him.  We are assured of God's help.
